Administrative History	The Circle was formed in 1972 as part of The Newman Association, a national association of Catholic laity and clergy that seeks to 'continue to develop [its members'] understanding of the faith in the context of the contemporary world'. The Circle organised workshops, discussions, prayer meetings and social events. It was disbanded in 1993.
